    Action screw tightening sequence


    Its probably been printed here one zillion times and I cant find it. What is the correct sequence and torque spec? Its a Model 12 BVSS

    place barreled action into stock and start action screws. Stand rifle up on butt of stock(muzzle up in the air) so that the recoil lug makes even contact on the stock. Run the screws in till they start to tighten up, then snug down alternately till you achieve your desired tightness.

    Atleast that is how I do it. I also do not torque my action screws. I just make sure they are tight enough not to come loose, without overtightening them.
