How to remove recoil pad stevens 200

Hey
What size Allen wrench do you use to remove the the recoil pad on a stevens 200?
I tried metric and standard cant seem to get a fit and i cant see the screws. I want to put a limbsaver on my 300 mag.

Have you tried a Philips head screwdriver?

No i thought it would be an allen head since all the other fasteners are allen heads.
I cant see them to know if they are philips head or allen head.

Most pads are on with philip head wood screws, give one a try. Slide one in twist it around until it catches then unscrew.

Try a number 2 philips, and put a little oil on the shaft where it goes in the pad. Poke around till you get it into place, then push hard and turn out
