    savage 93 17hmr

I have a question about difficult bolt lift on a new 93 17hmr. My brother just bought a brand new 93 varmint yesterday, with the accutrigger, and it has a really stiff bolt lift compared to mine. I have an older non accutrigger model but still a bull barrel and walnut stock. Is this something that will go away after it gets worked a couple hundred times? It hasn't been fired, just cleaned and mounted a scope. He didn't notice it until I felt his rifle and then he checked mine, for something to compare it to. What would cause something like this? It isn't horrible but definitely tougher than mine. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

TAKE THE BOLT OUT AND CHECK FOR BURRS ON SOME OF THE HOLES .I USED A STONE ON MINE TO LEVEL THE BURRS .IT WORKS LIKE BUTTER NOW.ALSO THERE IS A PIECE THAT GUIDES THE BOLT COMINGUP FROM THE REAR MOUNT SCREW STUD ,THE BOLT RIDES IN IT.LOOK THROUGH THE CLIP HOLE.IF ITS BENT JUST A BIT ,THE BOLT WILL PUSH IN AND OUT VERY HARD MARK25-06
