I highly doubt they'll bring back the 219 or the 220 but hey it's Savage, "never say never".
i have a Savage 219L in .22 Hornet which I bought new in 1965, it is a very handy little gun. Now that H&R and Rossi are making moves into the single shot ranks, when can we expect a reintroduction of the Savage 219/219L series ?

Savage- "never say never".
I also have a Savage 11G in .223 also..just getting into coyote hunting, figure they should fill my needs. I am starting to lean more toward Savage for my rimfire varmintg needs. I just came back from a gun show where I just traded a Marlin .22 mag for a Savage 917GV.
I figure that will be my main woodchuck rifle..along with the Hornet.
look around and you may come up with a .3030 barrel for it. 410 is also a possibility.

Thankis Blue..should I expect that most any available barrel from a 219 would fit ?
should fit, but there is always the exception.

I had a 219-22 H and sold it couple years ago.
Never could get over the 6#++ trigger.
My trigger was pretty good on my 219L..I say "was", because my Marine Plt Sgt Grandson came home on leave about a month ago and I passed it down to him.. He's a Marine armorer and loves his guns, so I know he'll enjoy it !
