    Savage versus Stevens

I have been using Savage rifles since the early 60's. I have never owned a Stevens rifle and have to admit I know nothing about them. I am told that they are made in the same factory, on the same equipment, and the only difference is fewer options and less polish/finish.

How about the barrels? Recently I have been offered a couple of Stevens barrels and am wondering how they compare with Savage barrels. As long as they shoot straight, I don't care about the polish.

    UJ,
    Check out the FAQs section.

They are all the same parts. same build procedure, just a cheaper price, and less profit margin.
