    Sear question.

Are the top bolt release and bottom bolt release sear's interchangeable ? I only ask be cause I suggested swapping sear's to change to a bottom release stock and everyone told me they won't interchange. Now I see them saying to do it. Do they interchange or not.

The problem is the bottom release actions don't have the side step cut on the action for the side sear. You can try bending the side sear to clear the action, but 9 times out of 10 it will break as they are super hard and brittle. There has been ones that have done it, and got lucky, or they latter found out it will break. SSS makes a special sear for such an application, and is the only company to do so, it is not catalog on there site.
