3 part question.. looking to get into tacticle shooting which scope

the final pieces for my 308 tacticle biuld have came in now time to think about a scope (or better)
right now i have a abused but never been off vector 10x50 mm mil dot scope right now i shot it at 300 yrds and have no problem picking off pieces of clay pigeons .
i plan on shooting this in :
1- modified club f class matches (f-un class anything under a 50bmg aloud)
2- tacticle matches that require shooting 100 to 700 yrds ranging might be required
3- shooting steel out to 1000 yrds

i mostly shoot sfp target scopes in f class matches where ranging is not needed 10 power seems to be to low for what i'm planning to do with the rifle and i'm thinking a variable will be a better choice. i'm thinking something no more than 24power max but cant decide on either mildot or moa hash marks as for price i'm limited to 500-700 (after income taxs).
    rifle specs are :
    savage 110
20" threaded with very agressive brake
cdi bdm (alpha and AI mags)
    boyds thumbhole varmint stock
    harris bipod

1- moa or mildot or what
    2-ffp or sfp
3- fixed or variable and what max power

    any input on this

Spend $30 and get a Type 3 FFL- Collectors License. Once you have it, send to to Grafs & Sons for their dealer discount.

You'll then have a ton of high end Bushnell, Nikon, and Sightron scopes that fit in your budget. I'd vote for the 6-24x50 S3 MOA.

Then send it to Brownells and everyone else that gives you a discount for the license.

Wow, that is a nice scope and a really good price. Do you mind sharing where you got it at that price?

mounted the nightforce last night and sighted it in today @ 300 yds looking thru it and my sightron i dont see much if any difference between the 2 beside the nightforce is heavier. i still cant complain about the price i got it for . now to see how it and the rifle do in the match tomorrow.

Optics seems to be the biggest discount. But I think it depends on the pricing they get from the manufacturers. Not a straight percent.

It's a big enough discount that I've more than paid for my C&R license on every order I've made with Grafs.

Here's the fine print. You have to order $2000 a year to maintain the discount with them.
