    Hogue Stock for Savage Alaskan

I have been looking at the Hogue store at stocks to fit my Savage Alaskan. I assume that I would need either the #11117 - Savage 110, 112 & 116 Top Loading Box Mag Long Action Heavy Barrel Full Bed Block Stock or the #11115 - Savage 110, 112 & 116 Top Loading Box Mag Long Action Heavy Barrel Pillar Bed Stock. My question for those who have purchased Hogue stocks is which is preferred? The full bed is $279 vs. $149 pillar bed. Is there $130 worth of difference? Also, based on the heavy mag contour that the Alaskan is barreled in (I believe), am I choosing the right stock?
    Thanks Guys,
    Mike

If you can swing the $130.00 extra, get the full bedding block version, just my opinion.

Check Midway. I got a full bed hogue stock there for my 110 center feed DBM for $189 if I recall. And they had them in stock.
