does savage make more that one size? the reason i am asking is i got a Stevens 200 .223 the extractor is twice as long compared to a extractor for a .308? i thought it mite help with my 22-250 problem? maybe not ? just a thought. thanks. 8) dd

There are 2 different extractors. The .223 version is longer overall, but the dimensions are the same on the business end. A standard extractor will work for a .378" bolt face, but the longer .223 style will not work in a std. .473" bolt face. The longer outside end will bottom out on the receiver bore before it will snap over a cartridge rim.

sorry, some times my 22-250 drops the case when i pull the bolt back to remove a fired case?
Try one size larger ball bearing under the extractor, can't remember the size.
But SSS has them.
