I recently bought a model 10 308 Win it has a 22 inch barrel I was wondering if a model 110 barrel would fit on it or does it have to be a model 10 barrel? Thank you

With a barrel nut wrench, barrel clamp, and a set of headspace gauges, yes.

What caliber is it? Not sure how a long action cartridge would work on a short action though.

barrels are barrels. Short or long action does not matter. Just confirm whether your action requires a large shank or small shank. Typically they are small shank unless a magnum caliber, but NOT always.

Beyond that, you may need to change bolt heads, depending upon calibers.

Correction: For obvious reasons you cannot put a long action barrel on a small action action. (Cartridges are too long for the action).
