I got a Kestrel 2500NV, a Mil-dot Master, Konus 20-60x80 spotting scope, and a RedTac rear rest squeeze bag.
Not to shabby on the shooting gear this year.
I figured this was going to up somewhere anyway, so why wait?
What cool toys did everyone get? My son sent me a book on reading the wind. It's probably my weakest skill in shooting F Class, so I'm really looking forward to studying up on it.

A good wife and a steady job has ruined many a great hunter.
Most of it I picked out myself, so I filled in some niches in some gear I've been needing/wanting.
- A new 22" Ontario "D"-handle machete and sheath (my old one has been re-sharpened so much it looks almost like a short sword).
- Cold Steel GI Tanto 7" knife (I needed a tough, full-tang "beater" knife)
- Cabela's QUL headlamp (never had one, thought it'd beat a flashlight for some things).
- Glock Sport/Duty holster (I wanted to try one for hiking, exploring, etc)
- Some Glock small parts (connectors, mag release, etc)
- A new microwave (that was a suprise gift, though also needed)
- And $50 I probably won't have any trouble getting rid of.

I got a gun... ok, not what you might think; it's a jerkey gun. Big money was spent this year on a computer upgrade to retire my old XP pro desktop and also new tablet for me. Now I'm looking for an app for ballistics that runs on a droid system.

GF and fambly were very good to me, even my mule, chickens, and dogs got me stuff. Kindle, camo, "outboard motor blender", pasta attachments for a Kitchenaid, cash.
But I bought myself a few things too, all firearms related and shouldn't list it cause I'll remember how much it all cost me! Lets just say I was bad!
I got a check for $50 from my dad, which offset most of the $65 I spent on shirts for him. Other than that I got nothin! Several years ago we all decided that we would only buy presents for the kids. None of us adults ever knew what to get one another and in the end we'd all just end up wasting money buying presents no one needed/wanted and would likely never use. So we put an end to that madness and just enjoy getting together and watching the kids open their presents.
So what does any red-blooded American gun nut do when he/she knows they won't be getting squat for Christmas? That's right - they go buy our own darn presents!
So I bought this for myself about a week before Christmas...
...and I bought a couple hundred dollars worth of ammo for myself Christmas Eve day on my way to the family GTG.

I have to slip over to Hobby Lobby this weekend to get me a couple new jars of Testors Master Series paint in flat white and florescent red so I can do the LCR's front sight as well as the brass bead on my Henry rifle. How are the Five Star speed loaders working for ya? I did a little research on speed loaders for the LCR but most everything I read said the Hogue grip makes using most of them a real pain if not impossible depending on the brand.

I'll be the first to say that I'm truly blessed with a great family and when it comes to Christmas they go way overboard. My aunt is divorced, has no kids, works a good job, and my brother and I are the only nephews or nieces she has. So we're really close to her and she spoils us to death even though we're not little kids anymore.
