I have a new Savage 12 LRP in 6.5 Creedmoor.
I reload for my 308 already and I need to acquire some dies for the 6.5. I am not a bench rest shooter but I do like an accurate rifle. My question is:
What dies are necessary to emulate factory bullets?
I see the Hornady set for around forty bucks and was wondering if it was worth my time. I reload now with a lee turret press and pacesetter dies in my 308 and it works great. I was wondering if I need to invest in match dies or a bushing set if I am only using Hornady brass and trying to get at least as good of quality as factory. I don't want to spend the money on match dies if i can do that with the new dimension dies. I also would have to wait a while on the match set as they are back ordered. I need them now! I can't afford to shoot buying all my ammunition. What do some of you think that have done this for a long time as I am fairly fresh to the game? I figured somebody could give me a little info to steer me the right way.
