Trying to Date my Stevens Model 335

I have a Stevens Model 335, Double Barrel, SxS, 16 Gauge Shotgun. I've owned it since 1975 and was told it was an early 1900's when I bought it. I've been having a pretty hard time trying to find some info on it, especially the year it was made. I understand that the records on it are not available. My gun is pretty original, has J. Stevens Arms, Chicopee Mass on the side of it and has matching Serial Numbers in a few different places. The first 3 of 5 are "847".

Any info or links to info would sure be appreciated.

Bill, I'm not a whole lot of help when it comes to Stevens rifles and shotguns before Savage bought them out but I do have some of the old catalogs at home. When I get near them I'll try to get some info on it for you.

I just found out that it needs to be home by 10.
