    260 Rem & IMR 4350

I finally latched on to some IMR 4350 and would like to hear from folks about their 260 loads using this powder and 140 grain Berger hunting VLD's or Amax's. I have a 26 inch 8 twist Criterion varmint contour barrel from Jim at NSS, with a throat that's .050 longer than standard. This barrel is fitted to a 110 action. I hope to take advantage of the longer throat and magazine box to seat heavy bullets out a little bit.

    Thanks!

IMR 4350 is the best powder for my 260. At 43grns, it is the only load listed by Hodgdon. I could probably go heavier, but the accuracy is there at 43. Hope your barrel likes it as much as mine! ;-)

Mine found a node at 43.0-43.5 gr with the AMAX. No where near any pressure signs in my barrel. CBI 26" 1/8".
