I agree. Now is the time to get a better recoil lug.
Hello all. I've been reading here for some time now and I'm finally posting. Recently purchased a 10fcp-hs (3rd savage rifle for me). I'm going to cut the barrel down to 22" and have it threaded for my Suppressor. Should I get the larger recoil lug since now would be the time? And will it fit the factory barrel with no modifications? I'm also looking for a recommendation on a reputable gunsmith in CT. I don't have a problem shipping it. I would just rather have it done locally. Thanks

T-REX I have been told that there is a very good gun smith in Torrington. I have no personal experience with him but I know 3-4 guys at the range where I shoot have used him to accurize their Rems. and are more than happy with him.
I have his name and number in my truck and will get it later. If you prefer to PM me for the info that's OK.
