    Utica-Fox Sterlingworth--Removing the Stock

I want to remove the stock on my Utica-Fox Sterlingworth made in 1939. Is it necessary to remove the upper tang and trigger guard screws as well as the bolt through the stock?

Don't own one but ya, remove them to, it won't hurt anything. Probably just pulls the tangs towards each other to draw tight on the buttstock like a Win 94.

Thanks, but I need to know for sure. Those two screws on my Marlin Model 90 O/U's are not removed because they are attached directly to the frame and do not touch the stock.
