    Scope rail?

I ordered a 12 LRP last Tuesday and I thought it would be here by now but it isn't. I wanted to ask you guys if the scope rail came with it? In a couple reviews I read it said it had a Farrell scope base but it doesn't show one on the site. I also read another which says the stock has changed to a more vertical grip with a higher comb. I guess I can wait to see but I was wondering if anyone knew. Thanks guys for all your info.

After I posted this thread I got my answers when my LGS called and told me it was in. I went and picked it up and I am very excited. No scope rail, but then again I don't have anything but a 3-9x40 to mount on it anyway. I think this rifle deserves a little better than that. I guess I will pick up a rail tomorrow but the scope will have to wait cause I'm broke now after buying the rifle. The stock is the more vertical grip style with a higher comb than is pictured on the website but that's even better and I like it more. Can't wait to shoot it but I ordered ammo from Midway yesterday. I will let you guys know how it shoots!

eabco.com makes a nice savage rail at a good price, otherwise egw.

Warne steel rail from eabco is very sturdy, esp for long actions.

It is an HS. It comes with the gun on a 12 LRP now even though it still shows the old one on the website. It made it tough to bore site! I shot it four times in the dark last night for the first time. One for the trigger to surprise me, one to see wher it shot, adjusted scope and shot last two within 3/4". Not bad for a target with a flashlight on it and in a steady drizzle. I can't wait to see how it will group.
