    Torque specs

Ok, so I just got a Wheeler Scope Mount Kit (this is darn handy).

Looks like the scope rings should be torqued to 25 i.p.

My question; How about the action into the stock ?? What should I set that at ?? I saw something here about 65 i.p. but, that seems like an aweful lot. Thx.

65in/lbs is for going against pillars, 40-50in/lbs. for going on wood. Also scope rings are normally 18-20 in/lbs. check with manufactures recommendation.

Just an FYI, I did call Savage and on the Stevens 200 with the tupperware stocks, the receiver screws should be tightened to 25 in\lbs.
