    Post Bolt Baffle

I'm looking for a ss bolt baffle for my model 10 std size bolt face!
    is there a difference between the 110 - 10 baffles ?
They list one on midway but in the listing it says its for a long action!
that confuses me because i was under the impression that they where the same, as long as its not a magnum!
    anyone help me out here?
    feeling kinda dumb!! lol

It will work. I have been confused with Midway's description too
Might be longer than the original you want to replace--the 223 rem baffle is long to shorten the bolt stroke
If it is too long to eject your shells, just cut it off

    WTH?

A 223 (a.k.a. small) bolt face is 0.378" while a standard is .473", so your whole response is irrelevant to the original question and is just going to confuse the guy.

The baffels are the same diamameter for all bolt heads regardless of action length. What midway sells is a standard baffel, basicly what would be found on a 308, they do not stock or sell the 223/204 baffel with the longer bolt stop, to limit rearward travel.

Ok now I'm confused. I'm changing from a 223 to a 260 and thought all I needed to do was change the bolt head which I did. Should I also change the baffle also? I have yet to try and chamber a round do to limited availability of ammo in my area.

Yup, the travel will be too short.

you can cut or grind off the extension on your existing baffle.

    Yep.
I used a cut-off blade in my dremel to do exactly that.

    Pay attention Ricky-Bobby.
This is the one for the "short-stroke" 223 length, which means it has a long "ear" to limit travel:

This one is the "longer-stroke", meaning that it has no "ear" to limit it's travel:

I know this is a necro post and my first, I joined because I needed an answer concerning front bolt baffle on a 110 I converted to .308. I changed it from .30-06, would I want the short stroke .223 front baffle to shorten the much to long stroke on my 110 for my shorter .308? Thanks for the help, I will be reading info on here for the next few months!

only if you have the magazine with the spacer at the rear. With a standard long action mag you don't want to short stroke or you will end up missing the pickup.
