Mark II BTVS bolt cleaning and lube????

New member and also new rifle owner. I've never owned a bolt action rifle so please be kind to my ignorance. I bought a Mark II BTVS and when reading the manual it stated to "never" disassemble the bolt. I really don't want to if I can help it anyway. So, my ??? is, how do you keep it properly cleaned and lubed? The internals on the bolt must get crudded up in time. Also, should I grease, oil, CLP the exterior of the bolt?

I need a complete tutorial here on bolt maintenance.

    Thanks,
    John

    Welcome to the site.
On rim fires just wipe them off with a towel, if you want you can spray them down with CLP or remoil, and wipe them off, just remember oil attracts dirt. My experience is that rim fires have problems when they are oiled.

Thank you, 82boy. That sure sounds easy enough.
