That's the stock I'd go with if I wasn't running an Axis. I like the fully adjustable version.

    yes it is fish.

I went out today and gave it a go. (sorry no pics yet)
I ran some federal premium (168 smk) just for the sake of making sure I get on paper for the 1st couple before i started my own load development on my 175,s. I was very impressed with feds version (wow).
As I moved on to my ladder test with 4064/175,s.... I found my patterns to tighten up @ 42.5. Suprised me..... I started @ 41 and went up 3/10,s....5 shots each and ended with 42.5. I had other loads to give a try but my phone rang and it was the wife telling me Id better get my ass home or she was gonna lock the door and throw the turkey out the window.........oh-oh.
The 41gr did pretty good with the 42.5 doing better. No signs of over pressure at 42.5.
Going out again sat. and gonna give the lighter chrg another go.
Be as it may, the stocks butt pad and Savage,s muzzle brk work,d wonders.
I had my chrono with me but didnt get a chance to see what the fps was on the 42.5 due to my wife,s turkey tangent, but Id almost bet there running mid 2600.
The federal premium and 168smk,s are running 2650 according to ballistics data on the box...they did extremely well.
