    Bending barrels ?

    .

Old time trap gun gunsmiths used to bend shotgun barrels to make them shoot higher patterns.

Some used the fork of an old oak tree to bend the barrels.

Some preferred the bumper of a 1956 Dodge Power Wagon.

Wonder if 1,000 yard rifle shooters could be helped by bending their barrels upwards ?

It could be Hammer I think I have one of those barrels on an action I just put together. It seems to shoot about 9 inches high and about 2 inches to the right and I am out of adjustment. I was going to go to Burris rings with the shims but maybe I will just save it for those extra long shots.
