New here. Just picked up Axis XP .25-06

I won this rifle in a raffle and I couldn't be happier. My son has a Axis XP .243 and its a real tack driver. This rifle the trigger feels twice as heavy as the .243 and the black synthetic .25-06 feels more flimsy than the camo stock on the .243. Even the .243 package scope is holding zero unlike my new one. I know it sounds like complaining but even if I hadn't won this rifle I was going to buy this exact package. So Since I have 20 bucks (cost of 5 raffle tickets) wrapped up in this one I'm going to put a Timney trigger on it and a Boyd stock. The difficult part I'm having is deciding on what scope to put on it. Max shooting distance will be 300 yards either at the range or hunting.
I'm wanting something 4x12 or 3x15 but I'm not sure about 50 mm objective. With or without side focus. Thanks!!!

cut the trigger spring a little... it will be perfect. I have the 25-06 .... shooting 1.5 in at 160 yards yesterday..
