Remove Rear Sight - MKII Youth Model?

Is it possible? Or do I need to get higher bases / x-high rings to clear it?

It looks to be welded, not dovetailed like the full size models.

Never mind. Realized it was a dovetail after all. Drove it out and turned it around backwards to fill the slot and keep track of the rear site. Scope fits fine now.

I figured that was the case as typically the only real difference between the adult and youth models is the stocks (shorter LOP for youth).
