    Hole Spacing Stevens .243 and Savage .223 ??

    All
    i have a savage 16 in .223 and a Stevens 200 in .243
    Both are "short action" i believe.

    Does anyone know off the top of their heads what the bolt spacing for the action is ??
    (i would measure them but i am 500kms away from the rifles right now)

    Is it 4.275" for the .223 and;
    4.400" for the .243 ??

    Savage/Stevens are the Same gun. Savage's long actions are 110-111-112-114 Etc. The short are 10-11-12-14 Etc. The Stevens are long or short depending upon the cartridge.

    IF you have stagger feed models: They are 4.25"
    IF you have centerfeed models: They are 4.40"
    I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.
