Newbe question, is this wear (abrasion) normal on a model 10?

    Hello Guys,

i am very new to guns, made my hunters licence this year.
Unfortunately the situation in germany regarding firearms is very difficult and i have not a lot people to share my experiences with. Picked up a Model 10 PC, because from what i read on the internet, i like it very much and it will fit my needs perfectly.

Before i continue to build up the rifle, i like to be sure everything is ok with it.
When i open the bolt, the handle touches the metal plate next to the secure switch and scratches away the black finishing. Is this intended for this type of rifle or is anything wrong with it?

I have attached a picture to show the issue. Hope you guys can give me your opinion on it. Probably i am just a little picky.

thanks a lot and cheers, Toddi

Yep, When you rotate the bolt the baffle is pushed against that surface. When you cycle the bolt it drags across it. Very typical. BTW, you are going to like your new rifle!
