I'm guessing this means next year all the Savage Trophy Hunter models will be Banner or Legend Hunters.

ATK already owned Weaver Mounts (purchased from Blount in 2001) and Weaver Optics (purchased from Blount in 2001, sold to Meade in 2002, re-purchased from Meade in 2008) when they bought Savage earlier this year.
While the Trophy Hunter XP uses a Nikon scope and the Hunter XP has a Bushnell scope, only the International package guns come with Weaver scopes. The Predator Package doesn't identify the brand of scope used.
I agree that it would make sense for Savage to stop using Nikon as a supplier and use a brand that ATK owns. At this point that could be either Weaver, Bushnell, Simmons or Tasco. It might also make sense to have one of those companies build an unbranded scope to their own specs which may be what they already do with the Predator package guns.
