    Parts values?

I haven't been in the Savage building game for a while so I can't currently access the classifieds because I let my paid membership lapse. Can anybody tell me the going rates for an excellent condition large shank action and a 30" Shilen stainless select match barrel in 338 Edge?

At that price I think I'll keep them. Thanks.

You just don't see many of those to make a comparison. You will be getting offers in no time though.

Action is worth $350-400 (new target action's are running around $500-550 right now)
Barrel I'm going to say $200-250, maybe a little less simply due to the fact that it's a bigger caliber than most will want to shoot. If it were for a common varmint or match cartridge you could probably ask a little more because the demand would be higher.

Sounds like I would have a hard time replacing it if I get rid of it. I got the complete 300RUM rifle (blued) that I built it on for $275 shipped. I think I will retract the sale offer that I made to a guy at work. Was going to sell the complete rifle minus scope for $800. It's in a SSS LVT stock with the accessory rail, adjustable comb, and butt hook. I figured I had about $950 invested and he sounded pretty interested but it shoots 250gr SMKs into .3" so I think I had better find a different way to raise money for another rifle build.

Also, I just checked the price to replace that stock and it would be about $525 by itself. Glad I checked this out before I committed to selling!
