You can't use the magazie with this load but it shoots .3's for me out of a Stevens 200 barrel chapped to 18".

24.5 grains of Varget, 69 grain SMK, CCI 400's seated to a OAL of 2.43".

I shoot this load 95% of the time.

If you want to kill larger furry animals, I would suggest a 65gr Sierra Game King. I have killed 14 deer over several seasons w/ a 18" AR 15 SPR. I use AA2520 and get just over 3000fps w/ my load. It really works on Deer. I am planning to go Coyote hunting w/ this load in a 24" ar as well. I have alot of confidence in this bullet from lots of shooting and good clean kills out to 165yds.

I presume you will be using it for varmints / coyotes / pest control. There are many bullets and powders that work well in the .223. Personally I've had good results with 50gr V-Max bullets and H335 (25.5 gr is best in my rifle). H4895 also has worked well for me.
