    Savage 110 30-06 long action flat back ?? Barrel swap question ?


    New here just ordered a .243 barrel 110 takeoff !! I have barrel wrench etc... do i need to do anything other than a go-no go guage to install this barrel safely ??? Internall magazine on stock. Bolt face is same as .243 correct ??

    Nope

    Internall magazine on stock. Bolt face is same as .243 correct ??

    Most likely you won't need an action wrench, but that would be the only other possible thing I can think of that you would need.

    I wish this wasn't true , but sadly it is. Great way to get way too many irons in the fire.

    I converted a long action from 270 to 243 and the only issues I've had is the last round from the magazine. The first three feed just fine but the last round jumps the feed lips before it can chamber causing the nose of the bullet to jam against the rear of the barrel.
