    improve stock stock


    I have a savage model 10 fpsr what can I do to improve the stock stock not accu stock .. pillar bedding , v block or anything I've read you should float the tang . any tips or tricks . thanks a lot

    A 10 FPSR should be in a pillar bedded stock if it's a factory unit correct? You may try epoxy bedding it to ensure a perfect mating surface between the stock and the action. If flex is an issue then possibly try one of the stiffening methods some of the guys here use. Personally I've never really had a problem with "stock flex"

    no real problem just wondering if there was any room for improvement like floating the rear tang

    If it's not floated, then yes it will help.
