    .243 starting point

I'm using a criterion 26in 8 twist stainless ... I've loaded for numerous other cartridges but not .243 I keep reading that some bullets need to be pushed faster then others and just different theories! Where would one start with 110 action with the cbi barrel mentioned earlier ? This will be a long range coyote rig out to 500

I'd get some 105s and some imr4007ssc or maybe h4831. It'll be a good one. Punch it out to a 243 ai and even better maybe find some 85gr bthp for coyotes

The 105 A-Max pushed hard can be very accurate and quite deadly. I think the best you can do out of the 243 is about 3050fps.

I can say from experience that the 105 A-Max pushed up between 3550 and 3700 can be quite accurate, and no that's not from a 243 but rather my 6mm-WSM (necked down 270WSM).

I totally agree with nate that a 243AI would be better as it will give you a speed boost but mostly it will give you greatly extended brass life.

If 500 is as far as your going the 87 grain Berger would be a great choice. Fast and flat with plenty of b.c to buck the wind to 500.

Lots of load info out there, a quick search would unveil quite a few.

Following powders all work well with 105's:
    H4350
    IMR 4350
Hybrid 100V (fastest out of .243, but watch for pressure with small increases.)

With an 8 twist barrel you have enough twist to stabilize the 105's, of any make. However, you are right with the thought of pushing a bit fast to get a little more stabilization. Mine seems to work best in the 2900+ area.
