    factory 308

I know I am the only one on this whole forum that shoots factory, and that will only be for a month or two. But I bought some stuff at Dicks called ultramax. It says remanufactured and it was the most accurate stuff I shot today. It was dirt cheap as well-IIRR it was $57 for a box of 60. It was all lake city 04 headstamped as well, so I should be able to reload it later. I have no idea what bullet but it was 165gr hpbt and it was accurate! If you get in a bind and need a box or two of factory look for some of this. They also had same stuff in .223

I have been looking for some of this ammo, it's hard to find now! They use once fired brass and many have stated it's accurate!

try Dicks if you have them where you are. They had another 10 boxes of 150 gr rn, and the counter guy told me more of the 168gr hpbt is due any day.

This stuff has shot under an inch at 100 in my Stevens 223. Very good stuff in my book, especially for what you pay for it.

I agree. Ultramax is pretty decent. I got a couple of boxes of .223 with 55gr soft point bullets a while ago. Worked well on coyotes and other pests. I didn't shoot it much at paper, just enough to get the rifle sighted in plus a few groups. Accuracy was not bad. If I remember correctly I was getting groups around 1 MOA or slightly bigger out of my factory rifle. The brass is Lake City which is good brass. I've reloaded those Lake City cases a number of times and they are holding up fine.
