    SSS bolt fluting

Thinking of sending them a few to do but wanted to see a few and get some feedback. What is the general turnaround time? Thanks.

I will get pics of mine tonight it's nice! They said they had one on the shelf but it still took three weeks to get.

I am going to send my spare in to get done soon.

For thirty bucks I just figured I would get one of theres and I'll have an extra. I may see if I can send mine in and get the thirty back as a credit or something.

Be very careful on how you package your bolt when you send it in. I thought I had mine packed up nice and tight when I sent it in but Lisa from SSS called me a few days later and said the package made it but with a nice round hole in the end and no bolt inside. Anyway I love mine and will be getting more done in the future.

What does the bolt do for you, other than looks? Is it lighter? If so how much?

Its mainly for looks. If you are going to make a custom rifle, why no go to the 9's?

Here is a 7mm rem mag that they built for me. They did a lot of work to the action, so I cannot comment on the turnaround time.
They who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

If I get time to tear my gear down for cleaning today I'll weigh both the fluted and non. I can imagine it being much of a difference. I think mine moves smoother in the action and smoother against the round that under it. I'm going to get one for my 22-250.
