I'ts made by federal and is pretty decent target ammo.
You're going to want a different cartridge for hunting even if it is legal, there are much better choices for hunting. From your caliber choice I'd say deer sized game? In that case Remington core loct or Winchester super X or Federal power shock are a couple of budget friendly soft point choices that will get the job done.
