Who did the paint job? It is awesome. What type of scope and bipod? That's a great looking rifle. [/QUOTE]

I did the paint...green/brown base colours, green on brown/brown on green sponged, then some khaki and black sponges on top of those. bi-pod is a cheap Blackhawk and the scope is a cheap Centre Point. This gun started off as a cheap set-up to teach my son to shoot but, turned out to be a great little shooter. I bet if I bedded the action and got new glass...this thing would shoot with the $1500 rigs.

here is a better look at the paint scheme on the old stock stock...did the same scheme on the Boyds though...

I did one very similar on a Stevens years ago. I used the same process. People would ask me where did I get that camo job done and if they could get one done. Easy as pie and customizable/tunable to your hunting area and conditions.

Yeah...that pattern works really well in any environment...just use appropriate colour schemes for your area...

My stainless .06 in its new Boyd's furniture. Only mods are a new trigger spring and the Boyd's FT Thumbhole stock in pepper. Topped with DNZ game reaper 1pc mount holding a leupold rifleman 3-9x40. Nothing too fancy about my rig but it shoots ragged hole 3 shot groups and all together cost me just under 600, had 300 for the used gun, 150 for the scope, 114 for the stock and probably around 50 for the mount, thats less than some of my friend's gun or glass alone - and it shoots every bit as good as any of their more expensive setups =)

Axis .308 SR w/ muzzle brake, dnz rings, bsa glass etched scope, SSS stock with homemade camo job. Want to find an accutrigger and a larger bolt knob and I'll be happy.

Yea it gives it a little texture. Pretty easy to do with airbrush or touch-up size hvlp gun. Or you can try the krylon route.

What is the method of doing this with an airbrush? I've used the krylon webbing but I'd like more color options.
