do you have sacrifice your factory rem barrel for this conversion?

No. You take off the factory Remington barrel and put it in the closet, forget about it. Mount the new Rem-age in its place as you would a Savage Barrel on a Savage Action.

Nope. Just take it off and put on the RemAge barrel. Swap they back when you want. As long as you keep the same lug that was with your original barrel and it will headspace the same when you screw it back on. If you have bedded your action, you will have to remove some bedding and stock material in the area around the new barrel nut. I know a couple of Savage guys that have barrels set up with and without nuts and switch back and forth with no issues.

But what real man wants to give up his nuts? ......sorry it could resist.... Tim

You can sell your barrel if it is a popular cartridge.
