    CBC brass

I have 50 cases that I would like to reload but I thought I would toss it up here for the good, the bad or the ugly.

Box says M80 ball 7.62 and it was made in Brazil.

Looking for primer pocket issues or brass failure . . . you know the looming disaster kinda stuff. Number of reloads before pitching, on average with moderate loads, info would be helpful. I have Remington and Federal brass so I don't have to reload these if it's junk brass.

Haven't used any but if it is made to NATO spec and boxer primed i would think it would reload just as well as any other brass. Might or might not be consistent enough for target shooting but for hunting or just plinking it should be fine.

I've used CBC (Magtech) handgun brass for years with no problems but if you Google "CBC Headstamp" you'll see lots of reports of bad experiences with CBC rifle brass.

I primed 42 cases (ran out of primers) and my observation is that the primers don't seat very well. Some took two or three throws with the Rock Chucker press attachment to get them below the headstamp. I never had to do this with W, R or F brass. Nice fit in the primer pockets though.

I'll shoot them for the second time and retire them to backup status.

if it is military brass did you remember to take the crimp out of the primer pockets?

I didn't realize there was a crimp. That might explain the hard seating. The primers are all seated just below the headstamp. Are they safe to fire as is or should I pop the primers out and rework the primer pockets?

if they seated they should be ok but remember to remove what is left of the crimp before loading them again.
