Noob Question about the 10fp

Savage 10fp .223

I am trying to buy a base from midwayusa.com and the two categories are Savage Model 10 with flat rear receiver or round receiver. I have not received the gun yet, but it will be a 2009 model. Can anyone tell me if it is going to be flat or round? Thanks in advance.

I would go with the EGW rail simply because you have more options to position the scope. A lot of people here went with EGW for rails.

And I did as well, I got Burris Xtreme 1" Rings I hope they fit the 2.8-10x44mm scope I have. ???

I have the 10fp and put the 20 moa EGW base on it and SWFA low rings . Makes for a nice looking rig.
