    Cool 40 Years Ago

The ramp that led to the Snake River Canyon in Twin Falls Idaho

If you were there or watched it on TV you will know what I am talking about.

RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.

I don't remember the tree to the right. Of course there are a lot of things I don't remember 40 years ago.

At one time he was one of my favorite riders. back in the day, of course...

I remember watching him really eat it big time at some motel / casino in Vegas. Anyone recall? was that late 60's / early 70's?
He got off the "up" ramp alright. Landing on the "down" ramp didn't go so well.

Both Jr & Sr did the jump in Vegas.

Sr. ended up in the hospital shortly after with numerous broken bones as I recall.
Hey, let's face it. The guy definitely had cajones made of hi-grade stainless steel.
    Titanium plated.

There is a big difference in doing these jumps on a 500 cc dirt bike nowadays and doing it on a Harley XR750 flat tracker.
