Primed and sanded, starting paint today!
I'm sure you've heard this old saying. Well my Stockage LR Benchrest stock just and arrived and all I can say is what an outstanding piece of work! The inletting is a perfect fit; and to finish that off I'm bedding the recoil lug for the final bit of perfection. Aluminum frame with heavy fiberglass body is stout. I got the "money saver" and didn't know what to expect, but there are only minor surface blems that a little spray filler-primer should fill with a few coats. Then the decision on what color, and I think I will try the Rustoleum hammered-black finish for gloss plus a little texture. Initially this will carry my Stevens 200 with the CBI 6 BR, but like all good Savagers there could be a swap with another rifle in it's future. Will post pics when done, but as you can tell I'm excited about what I see so far.
