Hey guys, I know I have been posting a lot but I just found something really cool.
http://www.amazon.com/Game-Reaper-Sa.../dp/B001EY9T6M
It is a one peice mount bases and rings built in. I have a Savage 111 Fxcp3 (package model, no Accu trigger) all round receiver, Long action with the cheap rings and bases still in the rifle. I have replaced the scope with a Nikon Buckmaster 3-9-40. I have a couple questions.
-Will a low mount be to low for the objective lens? If so what height of mount? Low, Medium or High?
-And how do I get that frontmost base screw out of the receiver so I can actually install the mount.(the hex head stripped)
-Do I have to take the rifle to a Gunsmith to get that stripped screw out or can I do it myself?
Thanks, Max

1. A low should be fine as DNZ designs their low for a scope with a 40-42mm objective and no AO.
2. If you have to ask then you should probably take it to a gunsmith. Easy to do more harm than good trying to do it without the right tools. Smith probably won't charge you but maybe $10-20 to remove it - if at all.

Once you get it repaired look at your hex key(allen wrench) if any edges are rounded get new keys. This is how hex head screws get stripped.
If I hold off on getting the game reaper mount until after deer season(2-3 months) do you think the stripped screw will affect anything? It's in there pretty snug.
Test it.
