    Stock for Women


    Im looking for suggsetions for a stock for my GF. Looking for something that is light weight and short to put together a hunting rifle for her she is short like 5'4

    Other than the womens hunter stock.

    Just wondering if anyone has any good experiances.

    I would get a boyds, cut the stock down some and you can router in the fore end to remove weight. Or buy a Savage lady hunter rifle

    Lol what is she doing out of the kitchen??

    Just kidding, were cutting 2" off one of the accustock that I have laying around for my 5'2" wife.

    Just because she is short does not mean you need a smaller stock.
    What determines proper stock length is the length of her upper arm and forearm.

    Also remember that a lighter rifle generally has more felt recoil.

    Cutting some length off the butt reduces the length of pull. Do it carefully so the cut is true, and then fit a grind-to-fit recoil pad like a Kick-Eeze or Decelerator.

    Have you looked for youth stocks? That might work for you with no modification.

    Pick up one of the youth model walnut stocks from numrich for $60 bucks. Its a nice smaller stock scaled proportionately and is pretty handy. The short action centerfeeds 4.4 spacing are the easiest to find.
