Not exactly a highly figured beauty but here's a classic style budget build I did with a model 11GL in .243. The white line spacers are made from a plastic sheetrock mud bucket. the ebony fore end is ebony stain with white automotive pinstripe to cover the small amount of bleeding from the stain. The stain color is Golden Oak and the whole thing has several nice coats of minwax satin poly over it. Not bad for a cheap birch stock. Of course it's bedded with a nicely adjusted 3 screw trigger. American classic styling on a tight budget. (Cost of poly, stain and pinstripe) if I remember right about $15-$20 and hey it was fun.
I still have this stock but the rifle has been converted into a synthetic DBM .308 16"" carbine since this pic
