I'm building a 6.5 Creedmoor on a LA. It's going to have at least a varmint profile barrel (outside chance I'll wind up with a heavy varmint, but certainly won't go any bigger.)

Will the Boyd's Prairie Hunter be sturdy and stiff enough to use off a bipod for long range shooting? (My other option is the B&C Medalist - non-tactical one- but it's more than twice as much.) For $100 it seems to be to good to be true. How does it compare with the Medalist?

I'll bed the action and pilars myself, and I'm comfortable opening the channel if necessary.

Thanks.
