    1968 Model 110 LH question.

Hi Guys. I have a 1968 110LH in 30.06. The wood is Birdseye Maple with a thin inlay of Walnut running lengthwise along the bottom. Was this standard as far as the woods? It is stamped with Savage Model 110 LH. I have seen other 68 Models with darker wood. Thanx.

I never saw it before, and I have some pretty old ones. Nothing quite a 68 though, more like 74 when I bought it new.

Definitely an aftermarket or custom 1-off stock. Factory hardwood stocks in the 60's were all either solid walnut or solid maple stained to resembler walnut (same as today's factory stocks)
