Well you could always buy the screw to get the diameter and the thread pitch from it.
Does anybody know of a source for a 340 series front sight screw, the long screw, not the short. Checked Numrich and the usual sources. They dont seem to be available anywhere.
As a last resort I may have to fabricate one. Does anybody know the thread pitch and count?

I had the same problem until I found that the screws to attach the scope rail to my ruger 10/22 fit. The head of the screw is just a touch proud of the sight but it is barely noticeable. I think the screw is a size 6 with 48 threads, according to my caliper the shaft is 0.20" long. I still have a couple screws left from my 10/22. Email me your address and I'll send you one.
