    savage varmint action screw spacing

What is the screw spacing on the savage varmint action? My uncle is wanting to order a duramaxx stock from midway. product # 195-644. This stock is for the 10 series, with a action screw spacing of 4.275. I told him I wasn't sure but thought the varmint action was a 12 series, and the hole spacing may be different so thought I'd ask you guy's
    Thanks

The model number has nothing to do with the spacing. The different spacing is caused by the magazine style. I am assuming you mean a "Varmint action" as the new unbarred actions offered by Savage in the last year or so. If so they would use a center feed magazine spacing of 4.40. The B&C stock are for the older staggard feed magazine spacing of 4.275, and will not work without some modification.
