"Slow" powder OK for lighter .223 bullets???

Ok, so here I am with 8lb of accurate 2520 that I bought to shoot 69-75gr bullets. I also shoot 53-55gr bullets, but for those I have been using up 2lb of AR-Comp that I bought since I wanted to save the 2520 for the heavy stuff. I was getting ready to buy some accurate 2200 or 2460 for my lighter bullets, but after looking at the load data again for 2520, I can't see anything wrong with using the 2520 for 53-55gr bullets. People say its no good for light stuff, but the data suggests that it will work fine AND at good velocity. The only thing is that it takes a bit more powder to get there, but really only about an extra grain or so.
The question is whats wrong with 2520 for lighter bullets and is there any reason why it wouldn't work just as well as anything else? I know certain powders may be more accurate and all that, but I can't see a reason why 2520 can't work just fine for 53-69gr bullets, at least the data suggests it is fine. I am asking because none of the popular powders are available so I can grab some 2460 or 2200 if I wanted. But dude, I got 8lb of 2520, so you know...

AA 2520 is an excellent powder choice for your application, "it's the camp perry powder" it has the same burn rate as RL15 and Varget, so stuff as much as you can into the case and still be able to seat the bullet, you should be in the 3300FPS range which is good, so run be free and go shoot till the cows come home.LOL
