    savage 110 fp scope choice

hi guys. i need a little help. i recently bought a savage 110fp in 25-06 and having problems finding a scope that will mount. problem is with the round receiver i need a scope with 6 inches of tube in order to use a 2 piece base and the only one piece i could find was a leupold which also needed 6 inches of tube. am i overlooking something here or do i need a scope with this much tube? if i do, any suggestions on a scope?

Have you considered getting a Picatany rail for your rifle? That way, the scope could mount anywhere on the rifle.

If you already have a Luepold standard base, than you could get the offset rings and turn them in.

They who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

On my rifle I had to use an extended base AND extended rings to get the proper eye relief with the scope.

I love Savages, but there's nothing in this world so long as a Savage long action.

I have read some say that the one piece bases help hold the action together under load and can improve accuracy. No clue if that's true, I'm just the parrot, not the scientist.

I'm a little late with this post, but I used a 2 piece Weaver bases on my 110FLP with Burris Signature Zee Rings. I had a set of Leupold rings and bases on it but didn't like them.
